With the Home Run Derby tonight (will Cespedes defend his title?) and 85th All-Star Game tomorrow at Target Field in Minneapolis, MN, Sony has released a video simulation of the game using MLB 14: The Show, which you can see highlights of above.
If you don’t feel like watching the video, here’s the basics:
- The NL scores first in the top of the 4th thanks to Carlos Gomez and Andrew McCutchen.
- The AL scores in the bottom of the 4th after Andrew Jones singled, stole second, and hustled home on a Josh Donaldson base hit.
- The game is tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the 6th when Alex Gordon scores on a Adrian Beltre triple.
- Todd Frazier then hits a two-run home run in the top of the 10th to secure a National League 5-3 win, with Aroldis Chapman closing out the inning.
For MLB 14: The Show itself, San Diego Studio has a patch in submission right now to improve the online stability.
Who do you think will win the Home Run Derby tonight and All-Star Game tomorrow?
