Well, here’s an interesting take on a game’s collector’s edition; in a press release, Deep Silver has announced that it is seeking fans vote on what they want to see in Dead Island 2’s Collector’s Edition.
This tactic was used for Dead Island Riptide and in Saints Row IV, and Deep Silver is continuing the trend. Players can partake in this survey to vote on what they want, but better make it fast, voting ends on July 14 midnight. There are 28 items fans can choose from a luggage tag, to a zombie flag of California, and even a Golden zombie “Oscar” statue, these are the things fans can pick and match for their desired collector’s edition — provided the rest of the votes match, of course.
In case you need a refresher, the press release contains a description letting players know the zombie game is about.
Dead Island 2 picks up the Dead Island and Escape Dead Island storyline several months after the events on the Banoi islands. The United States military has put the Golden State under full quarantine which, for some, is a dream come true with a promise of a fresh start. Californias newfound bloody paradise is an action-packed playground featuring the acclaimed, seamless multiplayer for up to eight players who cooperate, compete or simply coexist in a truly social, new-gen multiplayer experience.
Dead Island 2 is being developed by YAGER for the PS4, Xbox One and PC for a spring 2015 release.
