In one of the shortest confirmations for someone leaving a company, Sony sent this statement to IGN, confirming that God of War 3 Director Stig Asmussen has left Sony Santa Monica:
SCEA can confirm that Stig Asmussen is no longer with Santa Monica Studio.
Following the layoffs at Sony Santa Monica late last month and the cancellation of Stig’s new IP in development at the studio, the writing seemed on the wall for Asmussen’s departure, and this news just confirms it.
According to the report from IGN, Stig is currently interviewing at several other studios.
