UK Sales Charts: FIFA 14 Rises 18% to Take Home Top Spot, Grand Theft Auto V up 94%

After being separated by  less than 600 copies last week, FIFA 14 rose 18% to first place on the UK sales charts, beating Call of Duty: Ghosts by 17,000 units. With this #1 finish, FIFA 14 gives EA its first Christmas number 1 since 2008 with FIFA 09.

There were also some big gains for certain titles, which you can see below with the top 23 selling games in the UK for the week ending December 21st, 2013:

  1. FIFA 14 (up 18%)
  2. Call of Duty: Ghosts (up 7%)
  3. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (up 92%)
  4. Battlefield 4 (up 17%)
  5. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (down 17%)
  6. Grand Theft Auto V (up 94%; only 400 sales behind LEGO)
  7. Just Dance 2014 (up 18%)
  8. Need for Speed: Rivals (up 25%)
  9. Killzone: Shadow Fall
  10. Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition (up 24%)
  11. Gran Turismo 6 (down 5%)
  12. Batman: Arkham Origins
  13. Skylanders SWAP Force
  14. WWE 2K14
  15. Forza 5
  16. Disney Infinity
  17. Animal Crossing: New Leaf
  18. Football Manager 2014
  19. Angry Birds Star Wars
  20. Aliens: Colonial Marines
  21. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  22. Dead Rising 3
  23. Knack
