Welcome to PlayStation LifeStyle’s trophy guide for the BioShock Infinite downloadable content Burial at Sea! This is the second piece of DLC for Infinite, but the first that is story based. There are 10 new trophies to collect here as we head back to Rapture, and luckily there is really nothing here that will give you any trouble – most of the trophies can be earned by restarting check points if you want to knock them out of the way quickly. If you happen to complete the DLC but missed a few trophies, all of your trophy progress will carry over into your next play through.
Spoiler Alert: There are few minor spoilers within the guide. If you are avoiding spoilers, it’s recommended that you complete the game before reading any further.
Down in the Briney – Bronze
– Took a Bathysphere ride in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
This trophy is story related.
Burial at Sea – Silver
– Completed Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
Play the DLC and enjoy! This will unlock when you’ve completed it!
Audio Enthusiast – Silver
– Collected all Audio Diaries in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
There are only 17 Audio Diaries to be found in BaS. The DLC isn’t very long and the environments aren’t too big so you shouldn’t have too much of a problem finding them. Just be as thorough as you can when searching areas. You will need to collect Lockpicks as there are several Audio Diaries behind locked doors. You can backtrack to find Lockpicks if you need to.
Fully Equipped – Bronze
– Purchased any two upgrades for Old Man Winter or Radar Range in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
There are two upgrades for both Old Man Winter and Radar Range. They also equal the same amount of money so there is no cheaper option. Old Man Winter is upgraded at the Gene Bank and Radar Range is upgraded at the Ammo Bandito.
Old Man Winter
- Winter Boost $125
- Winter Mod $225
Radar Range
- Accelerator Mod $150
- Slow Cook Mod $200
Confirmed Luddite – Bronze
– Destroyed ten Turrets in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
The Turrets will be scattered through out the DLC and you should come across them without having to look by just progressing through the story. If you miss one or just want to get it out of the way, you can destroy a Turret, reload the checkpoint and destroy the same turret again. Doing that will count toward unlocking the trophy.
Cook and Serve – Bronze
– Made 5 enemies explode with the Radar Range in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
The Radar Range is a new weapon that can be found in the BaS DLC. It is in the Housewares chapter in the kitchen of the Bistro behind a locked door. The code to the door is 3985. To make an enemy explode push and hold R1 while aiming at a Splicer.
Chain Reaction – Silver
– Damaged fifteen foes with an exploding enemy, using the Radar Range in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
Use the Radar Range to kill a splicer when they are near other splicers. When the Splicer explodes the splash damage will hit the surrounding Splicers. You can kill a group, restart the checkpoint and kill the same group again, it will still count towards the trophy.
Break the Ice – Bronze
– Shattered 5 enemies who had been frozen with Old Man Winter.
After you acquire the Old Man Winter Plasmid, equip it and press R1 to freeze a Splicer. When the Splicer is frozen you can either melee or shoot them to shatter them.
Snowball Effect – Bronze
– Froze 2 enemies with the same Old Man Winter trap.
First you will need to purchase the Winter Mod ($225) from a vending machine. Next, when two enemies are close together push and hold R1 to set an Old Man Winter trap. If it hits both enemies when one of them trips the trap the trophy will pop. This can be done very soon after acquiring Old Man Winter.
Going Places – Bronze
– Rode the tram in Burial at Sea – Episode 1.
This trophy is story related.
