With the PS4 first launching on Friday, we’ll be able to see first hand how quickly our HDD’s will fill up as games like Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2K14, and Call of Duty: Ghosts all take up around 50GB “to ensure a smooth gaming experience.”
It seemed as though large installs would be commonplace for PS4 installs (the lowest so far was LEGO Marvel Super Heroes at 6.1GB), but the back of the box art for Madden NFL 25 on store shelves now (via Reddit) shows that we’ll only need MBs:
As was seen on the back of the Killzone: Shadow Fall box art, and the lack of a Remote Play listing for Knack or NBA 2K14, typos are happening with PS4 launch titles, so there’s always a chance they meant to put 16GB, or really undershot the “minimum” you’ll need. Either way, don’t expect Madden NFL 25 to take up too much HDD space.
If you happen to have a PS4 game that we haven’t revealed the install size for, feel free to take a picture of the back of the box and send it to tips@playstationlifestyle.net.
