As expected, this will be a very review-heavy weekend for many of the staff here at PSLS, with rain, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix being just some of the games that will be getting our attention.
Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:
Anthony Severino – Cloudy (@Sev_Anthony)
I just got in rain for PS3. Don’t know all that much about it other than it’s the second Japan Studio PS3 exclusive – the other one being Puppeteer. Can’t say all that much about it because I only just got it, and its under embargo for a while. Aside from that, I’m at about 98% completion on my review copy of Rayman Legends for the Wii U, so I’ll finish that off this weekend.
Cameron Teague – In Pieces (@Cameron_PSLS)
Well if you count Friday as part of the weekend, I will be wrapping up my One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 review, which I can say is actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Aside from that, I might find some time to delve back into Diablo III, and hopefully the mail fairy has my NHL 14 review here today or tomorrow so I can get into that.
Chandler Wood – King Wood (@FinchStrife)
I’ll be continuing my review of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix. After 30 hours spent on Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD since I received it last Saturday, I am now 10 hours in to Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories, which is what I will be pouring more of my time into this weekend, much to the chagrin of my wife who is now extremely sick of the songs and sound effects she is being forced to endure during my concentrated play sessions. Come Tuesday morning, you should know how I feel about this long awaited HD collection.
Dan Oravasaari – Scribe-lenaut (@FoolsJoker)
As has been the case for some time, I will be writing previews and transcribing interviews for our lovely (and not so lovely) readers. But, not wanting to have too much fun, I will also be ushering in the epic return of Bad Gamers.
Heath Hindman – Papers Boy (@RPGLand)
I’ve been messing with a game called Papers, Please. You take the role of an immigration officer stamping passports. The first day is easy, but of course, misleading. As tensions rise and new regulations are instituted on a daily basis, your job gets more and more steps to it that make the “simple” process of stamping a passport quite the strenuous ordeal. All this and yet, you’re only paid based on how many passports you correctly stamp within the day’s time limit. What’s more, you see newspaper headlines and get notes from the government about your performance — black market activity rising, terror threats, etc. Mistakes lead to financial penalties and bad stuff for your country.
Are you about to let a terrorist or human slave trader through your borders? Will you make enough money on your by-the-passport wage to get through the days? Give it a try and find out. …Next!
Jason Dunning – Ogdenville (@Jasonad21)
I’ll be fantasizing about dragons while I read another book.
Louis Edwards – Wanted (@ftwrthtx)
If I can ever find anyone online, I’ll probably be getting my butt kicked in Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate. It’s not easy to review a game when you can’t try out the new or improved online functionality. Other than that, I’ll probably be playing some more Killzone: Mercenary and Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
Sebastian Moss – No Twitter Link For You
For the past two and a half weeks I have been working on a special article, which I’ll hopefully be collating, fact checking, and preparing a legal defense for over the weekend.
