Dark Souls 2 Close Beta Sign Ups Starting Now, Beta Begins October 12th in North America, Europe & Australasia

Previously slated for an October 5th start date, Namco Bandai has pushed back the start date of the Dark Souls 2 beta to October 12th in North America and Europe/Australasia, with a second round then taking place on October 27th.

As of right now, only European gamers have the proper tools to put their name in the mix to get into the beta (head over here), with the North American PlayStation Store showing Resistance 3 as the only multiplayer beta right now, but Dark Souls 2‘s sign up will hopefully show up soon.

Here’s the official description of the beta:

The depth of the Dark Souls 2 Closed Beta experience will truly test players’ skill, intestinal fortitude, and their sheer will to survive. The Dark Souls 2 Closed Beta will delve into one of the most treacherous areas of the Dark Souls 2 world; players will not only get an opportunity to explore an entirely new area of the game, but also experience overwhelming enemy encounters, diabolical challenges, and the unrelenting difficultly that only the developers at From Software can deliver.

Dark Souls 2 releases on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in March 2014.

Are you going to try and get into the beta? Let us know in the comments below.
