Ken Levine Announces Three Pieces of BioShock Infinite DLC, Includes Challenge Maps and Story Oriented Content

After teasing us on Twitter yesterday, Ken Levine has finally revealed some DLC for BioShock Infinite. Rather than just the first, he revealed all three packs of DLC that will be included in BioShock Infinite‘s season pass.

WARNING: THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR BIOSHOCK INFINITE BELOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

First, there was Clash in the Clouds, a more challenge oriented piece of DLC which includes 4 challenge maps (The Ops Zeal, Duke & Dimwit Theater, Raven’s Dome and Emporia Arcade). After selecting your loadout, you take on 15 waves of enemies on each map, and within each wave there will be a Blue Ribbon Challenge to add an extra objective.

Clash in the Clouds will also have the Columbia Archaelogical Society, an in game museum where you can unlock concept art, character models, and more. Players will also be able to find more voxophones and kinetoscopes to learn more about Columbia. This DLC is available today for Steam, PS3, and Xbox 360 and will cost $5 for anyone who did not purchase the season pass.

In addition to the more combat oriented DLC, Levine also revealed two future DLC packs that are more story oriented. Told in two episodes, the story of Burial at Sea is set in Rapture, not Columbia. After visiting Rapture in Infinite, which was a huge part of the story, Levine has decided to once again return back to the city under the sea. In the first episode you take control of Booker on December 31, 1958, the night before the fall of Rapture. You also meet a much darker looking Elizabeth than the one we met in Columbia.

In the second episode, you get to play as Elizabeth. Talking to IGN, Levine said the gameplay for her episode is “more towards a survival horror game,” but not much more was revealed. The two episodes will run $15 each for anyone who didn’t buy the season pass, and no release date has been given thus far.

What are your thoughts on this trio of DLC? Let us know in the comments.
