PC Indie Title Proteus Coming to PS3 and Vita

Today on the PS Blog it was announced that the award winning PC indie title Proteus will be making its way to the PS3 and the PS Vita. The port of the title will be handled by the team at Curve Studios. Set in the first person, the game takes place on an uninhabited island and really has no other objective other than to explore.

Proteus has a unique art direction and plays through the four different seasons. It is also procedurally generated, meaning the game is different each time you play and you’ll likely play it multiple times as “it’s nearly impossible to see everything in the game with one play through”.

In addition to a bright pallet of colors, music is another big part of Proteus. Everything you encounter during exploration has its own musical signature, so the music changes depending on where you go.

The game will sport cross buy so you can own both versions with one purchase, and, although no release date was given, the post says it will be available this fall.

Are you looking forward to Proteus? Let us know in the comments.
