LittleBigPlanet 3 Outed by Resume, In Development by Sumo Digital

On Friday, we broke down all the possible Sony E3 2013 announcements, and among them was LittleBigPlanet 3 from Sumo Digital. Now, the rumor has just gained a lot of credibility.

A developer’s online resume, now deleted, was spotted by GGG saying:

‘Little Big Planet 3′ (Video Game) | Client: Sumo Digital / Surface Digital

Best known for the Sonic & All-Stars Racing series and the Cross Controller pack for LittleBigPlanet 2, it looks like Sumo Digital has picked up the LBP series now that Media Molecule has moved on to Tearaway and sculpture games.

Of course, just because it’s in development – presumably for the PS4 – doesn’t mean it will be at E3. The game may end up being at gamescom instead, considering the studio is based in the UK, or may not even be ready to be shown until E3 2014.

But where do you want the franchise do go from here? Do you want more of the same, but bigger and better, or are you hoping for a Super Mario 64-like jump into the 3rd dimension? Let us know in the comments below.
