Dead Island: Riptide may have repeated what Dead Island did by finishing first during its debut week, but when it came to actual sales, Riptide sold less than half the amount of the original. As for the console breakdown, 71% of copies sold were on the Xbox 360.
Last week’s number 1, Injustice: Gods Among Us, slips to second place, followed by Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and Star Trek, both of which are new releases. In the case of Star Trek, it is the third highest week 1 sales for any game in the series.
