Mark your calendars! Sony has announced that MLB 13: The Show will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on March 5th, 2013.
Next year’s entry will include a brand new Playoff Mode which brings ‘an in-stadium atmosphere that replicates the excitement and tension of October baseball.’ You’ll also be able to access a beginner mode with enhanced instructions, Play Now has been streamlined for faster and simpler games, with Franchise and Road to the Show modes given expanded options.
PS Vita owners will also be getting all of the new elements, along with the continuation of cross saves introduced with MLB 12: The Show this year.
Starting in January the voting for the cover athlete will begin, and while no nominees have been announced, expect Miguel Cabrera to take it all home. He won the triple crown and helped take the Detroit Tigers to the World Series, even though they did end up losing pretty badly to the Giants.
