Outside of the Tokyo Game Show at its annual press meeting, NIS America announced that North American PS3 owners can look forward to another installment of Idea Factory’s wacky RPG series, Hyperdimension Neptunia.
The new game will be called Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory, far less confusing than its Japanese title of Hyperdimension Neptunia V, because I thought the “V” was a Roman numeral “5.” I thought the series had cranked out so many entries too quickly for me to keep up with. Seeing that might be the case, NIS America gave the name a small change.
New features in the game include the ability to jump, and in so doing, increase the heroine’s jumping skill. Indeed this can be done with a variety of skills, as they will level up with increased use. Another new feature is the ability to have sidekicks check nearby areas for items and monsters, to see if they’re worth taking the time and effort to explore.
Series fans can look for this one in the Spring of 2013.
