LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Release Date Revealed

Vita gamers will be able play, create, and share on the go with Sackboy next month.

On the PS Blog, Tarsier Studios Community Coordinator Simon Rosenkotter announced that Sackboy’s next adventure, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, will release in North America on Tuesday, September 25th. Europe will see the game’s release on September 19th.

As previously announced, gamers who pre-order the game at retail will receive BioShock or “Knights of Old” costumes as bonuses. Rosenkotter said that the costumes — outside of the Knights of Old costumes’ color scheme, because those colored costumes are exclusive to pre-orders —  will eventually be made available on the PlayStation Store.

Rosenkotter also said that Tarsier was looking into offering the pre-order bonus DLC for gamers who opt for the digital version and that “good news” should be coming shortly.

A video has also been released for the game, which shows a behind the scenes look at how Tarsier crafted the world of Carnivalia, the world that LBP PS Vita takes place in.

The Vita seems to be picking up a few more notable releases lately, with Sound Shapes coming on August 7th, LBP PS Vita coming next month, and Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation releasing on October 30th. What upcoming Vita games are you looking forward to? Do you think the Vita may now be gaining some momentum with software?
