Someone with access to British retailer GAME’s twitter account accidentally let the cat out of the bag regarding a new entry in the Need For Speed franchise. The twitter post detailed a trip to Electronic Arts’ offices attended by GAME representatives. During their time at Electronic Arts, the GAME employees took part in a presentation centered on EA’s 2012 lineup. The presentation mentioned both “Need for Speed 13” and the forthcoming Medal of Honor sequel.
The twitter post has since been removed but it read as follows:
EA presentation was great, had mentions of a new Medal of Honor and Need for Speed 13! EA have an exciting year ahead.
While Need For Speed 13 had not previously been announced, a sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor has been expected for some time. The first copies of Battlefield 3 that shipped to retail included a tease for an unannounced Medal of Honor game, which is presumably Medal of Honor 2.
Hopefully Need for Speed 13 is under development at Criterion games as they did a swell job with 2010’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for EA Black Box’s Need for Speed: The Run, which had a few issues
As soon as more information is available about either of these titles we will bring it to you.
