Developer Game Republic, the group behind the PlayStation 3 exclusive Folklore and Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, appears to have closed shop if recent signs are any indication.
The first clue was the website for Game Republic going offline, giving people errors of “server not found” whenever they try to visit their URL. Now many of you might play this off because of all the recent hacks against gaming companies but Japanese gaming site G-Dash decided to make sure and took a trip to Game Republic’s Tokyo office.
Upon arrival, G-Dash found a vacant studio where the offices used to be. Instead of seeing the GR offices that were originally located on the fourth floor of the building, they found a sign soliciting for a new tenant. We hope that the studio just pulled a quick name change and office relocation without telling anyone, but things are not looking good.
