Shadows of the Damned, an upcoming survival horror game, originally begin life as a vague concept by Goichi “Suda51” Suda (of Killer7 fame). Originally announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2010, it was finally given a release date at GDC this past March. We’ve got some new screenshots that will show you just how bizarre the game is going to get after the jump.
Crazy looking gun? Check. Enemies with up to and probably over six eyes? Check. Hanging corpse who was likely killed mere moments before you arrived? Check. Oh, there’s also big statue-looking enemies thrown in for good measure as well. Yes, Suda51’s unique art style seems to have transitioned over from the extremely bright world of Killer7, the 2005 cult classic on the PlayStation 2 and GameCube which sparked debate around the Internet and amongst video game reviewers. Shadows of the Damned is currently scheduled for release on June 21st for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
