Red Faction: Armageddon Gasps for Air, Gets Delayed

Developed by Volition, Red Faction: Armageddon is the upcoming sequel to Red Faction: Guerrilla. Players will once again be running around the Martian landscape, destroying anything in sight and fighting as part of the Red Faction. Unfortunately, those of you eager to get medieval with an ostrich hammer will have to wait a little longer.

Instead of releasing on May 31st, the game will arrive a week later on June 7th. A demo for the game will be released on May 3rd. THQ has released a description of the demo:

In the demo, consumers will be introduced to Darius Mason and fight their way through the Martian sewers and an oncoming alien infestation. Meanwhile, Darius must clear his name as the colonists have blamed him for unleashing the alien threat that has ravaged the underground cities of Mars. Players will have at their disposal the Nano Forge as they combat alien invaders with concussive blasts and core-shattering tremblers. Rebuild all that you destroy with the Nano Forge’s incredible Reconstruction ability. Finally, throw entire buildings at your enemies with Red Faction’s signature weapon, the Magnet Gun.

If the demo is as fun as the one for Red Faction: Guerrilla, then it should keep gamers busy during that extra week they are waiting for the full release.
