Developer tri-Ace, who is responsible for such games as Valkyria Profile and Star Ocean have released a new video and screenshots showcasing its latest tech. The tokyo-based developer added a new section to their “Research and Development Department” website, where they are hosting this impressive looking technology.
The video demo is running on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in real-time 720p, at a steady 30Hz. The tech is using “real-time lighting and shadowing” which you can read more about here.
In the demo you will see plenty of links to past Star Ocean games such as Fayt and Edge action figures and poster cameos. In fact this demo could easily be a new Star Ocean game in the works which wouldn’t surprise us in the least. Check out the video and screens below, let us know what you think in the comments.
