The world came to a standstill when the devastating 8.9 earthquake and subsequent tsunami ravaged Japan. With a country so deeply entwined in the video game industry, it is only natural that gaming companies banded together for the benefit of Japan. Media Molecule has recently put up its own share of extremely rare LittleBigPlanet 2-related items, and they are sure to fetch a pretty penny.
As spotted on Media Molecule’s official blog, up for auction via eBay are four one of a kind, original sketches by Francis Pang, touted as “the chief creator of Sackboy” by Media Molecule. Each drawing will also come with a copy of the game with a very limited-edition box art slip, signed on the reverse side be the entire Media Molecule team. Also up for auction (and currently at $525.75 at the time of this writing) is the rare in-game Prize Crown DLC, which is normally reserved for the most hardcore fans of the series. All of the money generated by these auctions will be donated via the Play for Japan charity, and the money will ultimately go to the American Red Cross. You can check out the items Media Molecule has for sale here, and take a look at the other items for sale benefiting this charity here. Happy bidding!
