2011 is looking to be one heck of a year for Bethesda who has just announced release dates for all four of their AAA games this year. Brink, Hunted, Rage, and the recently announced Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will all be finding their way to store shelves this year.
Brink – May 17th
Hunted – June 1st
Rage – September 13th
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – November 11th
First person shooter Brink puts players in the fight between the Resistance and Security. Being developed by Splash Damage, Brink features an online campaign for up to 8 players and has a first person movement system akin to Mirror’s Edge. With 4 player classes and plenty of objectives, Brink should allow for hours of fun. Listen to our interview with the developers right here.
Hunted is a dungeon crawler that plays much like an over-the-shoulder shooter. Players take control of either E’lara and Caddoc, who both have a very different style. E’lara uses a bow and stays ranged while Caddoc is an in-your-face brawler. In development by inXile Entertainment the game is a co-op experience. Rage is one of this year’s most anticipated games, with great visuals, a huge landscape to explore and some great vehicles. In development by id Software and using a brand new id Tech 5 engine, Rage takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where players must have skills not only with a gun but also behind the wheel. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was only just recently announced at the Video Game Awards, and already has the whole internet ablaze with interest. Skyrim takes place 200 years after the events in Oblivion and things are not looking good in the land of Skyrim. The king is dead and the god Alduin has come back in the form of a dragon to destroy the world. Elder Scrolls games are known for their enormous open worlds and gripping storyline.
