The sales figures are out for the debut of Square Enix’s The 3rd Birthday and the numbers for the week of December 20th through the 26th were very impressive. The game sold 140,000 copies to place it 6th for the week in Japan.
This was not the only PSP title though to have strong sales for the week. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd continued its dominance with 404,000 sold, pushing its total to 3,560,000. AKB1/48 also had a great showing in its first week, coming in 2nd with 236,000 sold. The hardware side for the PSP was equally impressive, placing 1st with 177,691 units sold.
