In just under three weeks, gamers will finally get their hands on the highly anticipated Vietnam expansion for Battlefield Bad Company 2. Coming chock full of new weapons, vehicles and four new maps, gamers should have plenty to keep them busy, but DICE has another map that you will need to work for.
Last year Dice released Battlefield 1943 with three maps, and posed a challenge to the community to unlock a fourth, and now they’re at it again. DICE has set a challenge to all Battlefield players, if we can rack up 69,000,000 team actions, then a fifth map will unlock. Now, 69 million may seem like a lot, but when you look at the number of ways you can get a team action such as resupplies, revives, heals, spots and repairs, then it doesn’t seem so daunting.
What map could be worth all of this work, well only one of the most popular maps from 2004’s Battlefield: Vietnam, Operation Hastings. The map is made up of two areas and is separated by a distinctive bridge, and it will include all the mayhem Battlefield fans have come to love from the series.
Now, even though this is only going to be available to those that purchased the Battlefield Vietnam expansion, the 69 million challenge will be a complete total from the expansion as well as the full game.
