Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Ups the Ante with a 4GB Install

The next addition to Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series is a mere days away from release. Unfortunately, the latest information regarding Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood might deter some consumers.

It has been reported that Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood‘s PS3 version will require a 4GB hard drive install. In comparison, Assassin’s Creed 2 required a whopping 2GB install which was considered enormous only a year ago. With the install nearing the size of a DVD disk, it’s hard to imagine why it requires this much space, especially when you consider how similar the game compares to its predecessor.

With all of the downloadable games, content, and installs, it’s no wonder why Sony is upping the storage capacity on the latest PlayStation 3 models. It’s a good thing the company allows for a non-proprietary laptop hard drives to be installed, and those who upgraded early are probably happy they did.
