Mortal Kombat is the ninth entry in the long-running ultra-violent fighting game. It is a reboot of the series, featuring an alternative story for the first three games. Many characters from those entries are making a return here, and Jax has recently been confirmed as a playable character.
As featured in the latest episode of GTTV (which you can take a look at below), Jax, the hard-hitting Special Forces Major who first made his debut in Mortal Kombat II, is being brought to the hi-def screen. He has the bionic arms he received in Mortal Kombat 3, and sports an American flag for finishes. This is the latest in the list of confirmed characters, and if your favorite character from the series has not yet been announced as playable, the possibility of even more characters being added in via DLC cannot be ruled out. Mortal Kombat is slated for an early 2011 release.
