Sony’s newfangled motion device is off to a promising start according to the latest sales figures. With Andrew House of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe beaming about the 1.5 million units shipped in PAL territories, similar sentiments were being shared recently by Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications at SCEA.
Patrick Seybold shared the following:
“PlayStation Move is performing extremely well at retail and we’ll have plenty of new games coming to keep consumers busy this holiday from our first party studios and publishing partners, such as SingStar Dance, The Fight, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11.””With a growing array of content options on PlayStation Network, including today’s announcement that Netflix will be natively accessible on all PS3, we are confident that the PS3 will be the console of choice for many families this holiday and beyond.”
Without LittleBigPlanet 2 and Socom 4, Sony’s holiday line-up looks to be fairly Move-centric, so they will have to count on their motion controller to do the dirty work. Of course, there is that other game, but so strong is the power of the jinx that we dare not say it and cause further delay.
