Square Enix can be mysterious. After a surprise ending to the full trailer for Dissidia 012[duodecim]: Final Fantasy, fans wondered if Tifa would actually be in the upcoming sequel. Weeks of speculation, theory and downright confusion come to end courtesy of the printed page.
This week’s Shonen Jump confirms Tifa Lockhart is more making more than just a cameo in Dissidia 012. According to a scan from the magazine, Tifa is shown using her Ex-burst mechanic equipped with her ultimate weapon from Final Fantasy VII: The Premium Heart. It’s hard to tell, but it looks like to get the Perfect, you have to match all the reels similar to the original game.
Tifa fans will also have both her classic Final Fantasy VII look , and her Final Fantasy: Advent Children outfit—a personal favorite—to choose from. It’s unclear how the Advent Children outfit is obtained as the article simply refers to it as “Another Costume.”
Anticipation for the game remains high for PSP owners. Square Enix just needs to give us a firm date.
