Dismissed Dev Claims EA is “Rewarding the incompetent. Firing the competent.”

The web is a great place to vent when your ticked about something, whether it be your friends, family, current events, etc. Well, a recently dismissed EA developer decided to vent about his former employer, Electronic Arts, a bit, and he most certainly did not hold back.

Simply identifying himself as EA Louse, the dismissed Bioware Mythic employee goes off of a rant, accusing EA’s upper-management of rewarding the incompetent, while firing the competent. Now, this individual must have been thoroughly pissed, as they go on to call out most of the major players in EA’s Warhammer project, along with their roles in what appears to be the game’s demise. Here’s a small excerpt from the post:

“I found out recently that I will be dismissed from Bioware Mythic during the next round of layoffs EA coming this November. I’m sick of seeing EA outsource their art and find every excuse to get rid of us and still not achieve anything. Mythic is dying, and its not us who killed him but we’re taking the fall.

But if you want to know what really went down with Warhammer, I’ll tell you right now.”

Following this excerpt, the post gets incredibly interesting, with EA Louse revealing everything from customer service reps being promoted to lead game producers, to the Warhammer budget exceeding 300 million dollars; it’s certainly something that will get you thinking and will definitely raise a lot of questions in the gaming community. While there’s no real way to tell if these claims are true, we’re willing to bet there’s some legit info here which just might explain EA’s varying quality in games over the past few years.
