Guardian of Light’s Online Co-op Mode Delayed, DLC Revealed

Square Enix has confirmed they have delayed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light’s online co-op mode. However, the publisher also announced the game will be receiving a handful of downloadable content.

The game’s online co-op has been delayed to a “later date”, according to Crystal Dynamics. The mode needs to “take more time to make sure the mode is as good as possible” VG247 was told.

Square Enix has also announced from October through to December the game will be receiving 5 downloadable content packs available across all formats. The first three are expansion packs featuring a combination of all new puzzle, exploration and combat experiences in the game and new areas to explore.

The last two packs are playable character packs, offering gamers the chance to experience the entire Guardian of Light adventure without Lara Croft and Totec, but instead with some other well-known videogame characters.

Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics stated:

“We can’t wait for PlayStation and PC gamers to get their hands on Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. We’re committed to delivering the very best gameplay experience possible and the fact that this is the highest rated Lara Croft game since the original Tomb Raider was released back in 1996 is a testament to this. I would encourage everyone to try the free trial.”

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be released on the PlayStation Network on September 28th for £9.99/€12.99.
