Well, mega-retailer, Walmart, recently outed MAG 2. Now, the retailer has listed a more feasible listing in the form of the heavily anticipated ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection on the PlayStation 3.
It’s not just a normal listing, though. Walmart has even intriguingly started to take pre-orders for the ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Judging by the success of HD collections on the PlayStation 3 – a la the God of War Collection – it is undoubtedly certain that the much-requested collection of the legendary PlayStation 2 titles is incoming.
Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida even stated a while back that Sony are very aware of an ICO/Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection.
“As soon as we released God of War Collection, a lot of people were giving us suggestions, and ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, these are at the top of the list. We are very aware, and we want to see and play in HD in the better frame-rate as well. That’s something we are very keen to look into, because we believe in this conversion effort.”
Walmart has listed the collection for April 1st, 2011. Does this mean we’ll see a Tokyo Game Show announcement? Stay tuned for our TGS coverage starting September 16.
