Swords and Soldiers Fights its Way to PSN

Today Ronimo Games has announced, through a partnership with Sony Online Entertainment, that they will be bringing there critically-acclaimed Wii-game, Swords and Soldiers, to the PlayStation Network.

For those of you that do not know what Swords and Solders is – it’s a side-scrolling, real time strategy game. You will take command of armies of burly vikings, vicious Aztecs and the cunning Chinese. As the commander, you’ll be creating powerful units, and creating devastating spells as you travel the globe in search of the ultimate trophy through acquiring resources, assemble armies, thwarting enemies and dominatoing opponents. As players advance, new modes and minigames will be unlocked. Sounds fun, right?

Besides simply porting this title over from the Wii they have completely revamped the control scheme, redone the art for HD and built a unique online mode. Plus Swords and Solders will come jam packed with 20 trophies.

Micah Loucks, Senior Producer at SOE had this to say about the game:

Swords & Soldiers is the perfect blend of real-time strategy and bold 2D graphics and will include innovative features.

Collaborating with Ronimo Games is a great opportunity for SOE to continue to bring interesting and unique titles to the PlayStation Network.
