Underdog PlayStation 3 exclusive Valkyria Chronicles became an instant fan favorite, implementing fun and addictive strategy gameplay. SEGA is hoping that the sequel mirrors the success of the first game, only this time, on a smaller scale. Valkyria Chronicles 2 was released last year, however, only in Japan. Now, finally, the game has been given a US release date.
SEGA has announced that the second installment in the beloved PlayStation franchise will be released on August 31st, 2010 in North America.
A European release date has yet to be confirmed.
RPG sequel Valkyria Chronicles 2 is now out in Japan, so if you’re Japanese living outside of Japan, then be smart and import it. The PSP title can also link to the PS3 for some extra features – the game’s Japanese site revealed that a save file from the original Valkyria Chronicles game can be transferred via memory stick to unlock the character Isara.
