Sega’s highly anticipated Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 is just around the corner from its original summer release. Oh, wait, no it’s not. The episodic game was original slated for a release this summer, however, Sega have decided to push the date back a little further.
Sega have decided to extend the development time for Sonic 4 into the latter half of the year. The reason for the additional time is stated on a post on the Sega Europe website:
allow the Development Team to focus on ensuring overall high-quality throughout the game by continuing to tune, balance, and maintain the kind of polish that an important title like this demands, and ultimately providing fans with an unrivalled classic Sonic feel.
