Alan Wake Writer Commends and Recommends Heavy Rain

Although many doubted if Quantic Dream‘s psychological thriller Heavy Rain would deliver, David Cage and his team were able to overcome adversity and delivery an unforgettable experience. The experience was so unforgettable in fact that several other big-name game designers and artists have commended Quantic Dream for their work. Now yet another company has paid respects to Heavy Rain and its tremendous accomplishment, but this time it’s an Xbox 360 developer.

In an interview with a Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake writer, Mikko Rautalahti, he highly-recommended Heavy Rain to others. Mikko stated the following:

“I have to say that I loved Heavy Rain. It’s a great experience, and I think anybody who hasn’t played it should play it, if only because it does things in its own way without compromises or excuses, and that’s always a welcome change of pace in this industry.”

Heavy Rain was a huge challenge for David Cage and Quantic Dream, and was originally announced at E3 2006. Over 4-years of development went into the title in order to create its deep sense of story and unprecedented emotional experience from beginning to end. I agree with Mikko Rautalahti and also recommend Heavy Rain to anyone looking for a game with a strong story. Even the gameplay was surprisingly enjoyable and the overall experience was both engaging and memorable.
