Atlus Opens ‘Hall of Heroes’

3D Dot Game Heroes owners and fans alike will wake up to something quite awesome today, as Atlus has just opened their all-new ‘Hall of Heroes’ portion on the game’s official site which will not only add a ton of fun to an already awesome game, but also take the game in the direction of, dare I say, Play.Create.Share.

Yes, 3D Dot Game Heroes is making social gaming history, at least on the PS3, with it’s new ‘Hall of Heroes’ which can be found on the game’s official site. The way this feature works is quite simple, user’s can upload their 3D Dot Game Heroes custom-made characters to share with the world as well as download other user’s creations. Each creation can easily be downloaded and moved over to the PS3 via memory stick or USB thumb drive, with users being able to vote on their favorites as well.

The amount of user-generated content is already growing at an alarming rate and is getting bigger by the day. Atlus is even offering up Amazon game credit as an incentive for those with the best designs. This is, without a doubt, one awesome addition and a big plus for Atlus, as this sort of thing may just seep over into LittleBigPlanet territory and start something brand-new for gaming. If you’re a fan of the classic Zelda-style of play, or even just a gaming fan in general and haven’t gotten your hands on this title, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

In the meantime, we encourage those with 3D Dot Game Heroes to upload your creations and share them with us in the comments below and we’ll be sure to check them out!
