Final Fantasy IX Releasing on Japanese PSN Soon

Some fans claim Final Fantasy IX to be one of the best in the franchise. So, the demand of the title to be brought onto the PlayStation Network isn’t a surprise. Square Enix acknowledged the in-demand PSOne classic re-release as the game’s PSN version was recently completed. Now that the Sony testing phase has been passed, a release date has been announced.

According to Square Enix’s producer, Shinji Hashimoto, Final Fantasy 9 will be released on the Japanese PlayStation Store on May 20th.

An international release date for the RPG will be announced soon. The pricing is unclear at this point, though. However, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII’s PSN releases have a $15 price tag, so expect it to be around the same.
