Japan Feels the Peace As MGS Peace Walker Releases

The wait is finally over. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the latest game from video game mastermind Hideo Kojima, has finally released. As the game hits stores in Japan today, scores of gamers are very envious of their Japanese counterparts and are willing to fork out the extra cash to import the PSP title, bypassing the extra two month wait for the North American and European version of the game.

The primary concern for many gamers has been the technical limitations of the PSP. However, taking a look at some of the game’s many screenshots or trailers seems to indicate otherwise. The game looks absolutely stunning. It makes sense, however. With Kojima taking full control over this game, and using the core team of developers that worked on Metal Gear Solid 4, the bar for Peace Walker was set incredibly high. By most accounts, it has not only met expectations, but surpassed them.

For now, there are only two things a non-Japanese gamer can do: either import the title, or sit back, relax, and watch the extended, nine minute gameplay trailer featured below.

If you don’t feel like waiting for Peace Walker’s June release date across the rest of the globe, we highly recommend you import Hideo Kojima’s latest now at Play-Asia.. Click here to visit Play-Asia.com.
