The original Kane and Lynch title was released back in 2007 to a mixed reception. However developer IO Interactive and publisher Eidos are sticking by the third person shooter franchise with their sequel entitled Kane & Lynch: Dog Days. IO Interactive has now let the “dog” out the bag with the game’s release date as well as a brand spankin’ new trailer.
IO Interactive has as promised confirmed that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will release on August 24th, 2010 in North America and will unleash the Dogs in August 27th throughout European territories.
Niels Jørgensen, general manager of IO Interactive believes the game will have a big impact:
We believe the unique visuals and relentless gameplay has created an intensity never delivered in a video game before. In a genre where so many games look and feel the same, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will make people double-take. We think it’s going to make quite an impression.
To celebrate the news, the developers have released the games second new trailer since its announcement. Check it out below.
