Battlefield 1943 May Be Flying Towards A Sequel

Among the top tier of all the shooting games on the market sits Battlefield 1943, a hugely entertaining multiplayer title. Developer DICE has revealed that it is thinking about a sequel for the online first-person shooter.

Karl-Magnus Troedsson, Executive Producer for the Battlefield series, spoke to OXM and revealed that there may be a sequel for the online title in the future:

We’ll see. As a franchise, we’re going to focus on the near future but that doesn’t exclude that we can do more of these smaller products in the near future.

Troedsson also talked about some coming DLC:

However, there’s one important piece to this puzzle, and that’s that we need to take care of our products post-launch. We haven’t released any premium DLC for 1943, for instance, which feels like a natural step to take.

Battlefield 1943 released last summer–check out our review of the game.
