CRYSTAL DEFENDERS AVAILABLE ON PLAYSTATION STORE THIS JULY
Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces that the tower defense simulation game CRYSTAL DEFENDERS™, will be available to download from the PlayStation® Store across PAL territories from Thursday, 23rd July.
Featuring jobs and locations from FINAL FANTASY TACTICS® A2: Grimoire of the Rift™, CRYSTAL DEFENDERS requires players to strategically deploy units to fend off encroaching enemy hordes and prevent them from stealing their party’s crystals. New valuable allies, spectacular esper summons and unit enhancing Power Crystals will add extra tactical depth to this new and exciting installment in the CRYSTAL DEFENDERS saga.
A worldwide ranking system allows players to upload their scores to leaderboards via the PlayStation® Network and see how they stack up against other players around the globe. These and other new features are sure to increase excitement and enhance replayability.

Story

Features
CRYSTAL DEFENDERS is simple and easy to learn, monsters will enter an area and march through it until they are defeated or reach an exit, at which time they will steal one or more crystals. It is up to the player to decide – by pausing the action at crucial moments – when and where to deploy various jobs such as Black Mages or Soldiers that will attempt to defend the party’s crystals. Factors such as map terrain, monster strengths and weaknesses, job attributes, and more will play a crucial role in determining what steps a player should take.
- In addition to improved controls, there are also maps and areas not found in other versions of Crystal Defenders.
- Featuring jobs, monsters, and areas found in FINAL FANTASY TACTICS A2: Grimoire of the Rift players can visit the magical world of Ivalice once again.
- The introduction of unit enhancing Power Crystals allows for exciting new strategies.
