Chris Hinojosa-Miranda, associate producer for Patapon 2, was recently asked about the future of the Patapon franchise. According to Hinojosa-Miranda, there is a “good chance” that the beloved rhythm franchise will continue on.
“There’s such a critical love for Patapon, the characters, the story overall, and the music especially … there’s a good chance that the franchise will continue.”
He also stated that the development team is listening to their userbase, and requests for a downloadable PS3 version of the game that includes online modes. Patapon 2 releases as a download-only title for the PSP on May 5th. Be sure to check out our exclusive review of this addictive title.
