Namco Bandai has announced its newest installment in the Soulcalibur franchise, Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. The game is detailed as a PSP exclusive version of Soulcalibur IV, but will not include any Star Wars characters. Instead, the game will have one new character, Dampiere.

Broken Destiny will also include an arcade, versus, and survival mode. On top of that, the game will also have a single player mode, which is for beginners of the series who need to learn the basics. The game will also feature new lighting effects, which will have players fighting at different times of the day.

Broken Destiny will also improve on gameplay aspects of the series, such as the critical finish and armor destruction. Ad-Hoc wireless play will be included, though it is unsure at the moment if Infrastructure will be in there as well.

Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is slated to hit this summer on PlayStation Portable, and meanwhile, stay tuned on PlayStation LifeStyle for all the details on this new fighter.
