Bad children are always told that they will receive a lump of coal for Christmas if they do not behave themselves. Santa does not take kindly to naughty children. I will not have my shiny black gift this year. This Christmas, I decided to surprise my father and visit him for the holidays. I am happy to say that it has been going great. I am sad to say that my PS3 is on the other side of the nation. I miss my baby. It was bad enough having my PS3 out here last year and not having a HDTV to hook it up to, but now I see that it is worse to have no PS3 at all.
To make matters worse, I am receiving PS3 related gifts. My cousin has purchased me a PSN Network card. $20 is more than enough for a LBP shopping spree. My uncle is purchasing Fallout 3 on my behalf. That will certainly help my trophy count. There are also other goodies in the works. This reminds me of the Christmas I spent in Illinois. My grandmother purchased Sonic Spinball for my brother and I. I was so excited. I didn’t get to play the game for a month. I must have been a bad boy that year. :p
I must admit that being without my PS3 has given me plenty of time to do other things. I have played my PSP constantly. I have caught up with old friends and even done some Christmas shopping. (I bought a special young lady a really nice gift). Not to mention spoiling my lil god daughters; all 5 of them. This Christmas will be extremely special. For the first time in a long time, I will be free to enjoy some of the people that mean the world to me. So though I’ll miss my PS3, I’ll enjoy the people in my life this Christmas. I cannot think of a better gift than that.
Will you be PS3less this Christmas?
