Famitsu has just made my day. I was excited by the prospect of having a Final Fantasy XIII demo. Packaging it with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, is like offering me a free bowl of gumbo with the purchase of jumbalaya. This issue of Famitsu reveals that this will not be a short demo.
The demo could be 2 hours! 2 hours! 2 hours! That is about half as long as the latest Ratchet and Clank game. It is being reported that the demo will be longer than Advent Children which is at least 101 minutes long. The film will feature additional footage which could easily make Advent Children 2 hours long itself. Here are some details about the demo:
- The demo will be set in a variation of the beginning of the game.
- The demo will not be region locked. (PS3 games are region free and the demo will be on a separate Blu-Ray). Importers should rejoice.
Advent Children will be released in March 2009. Remember that this demo has only been confirmed for Japan. Hopefully the rest of the world will be able to try out the demo as well. (Without importing that is.)
